Welcome to the Barn-Acc
Barter is still the most common form of exchange in the BarnAcc. However, a rudimentary physical currency has started to develop. That unit of exchange in the BarnAcc is the "o-ring."
In the early days of the BarnAcc, a particular specification of universal rubber o-ring gasket was an absolute necessity for connecting up all of the ships that formed the First Wave. While these o-rings were common, they were always in high demand, and thus people began trading them for other goods. Since they exchanged hands so often, they eventually became the standards by which all other trades were measured.
